The thoughts of a teenager.

Everyone gets disappointed, once in awhile.

Personally, I don't know why I even write blogs. I thought it would be fun, but it isn't as ''fun'' as I had intended. I've been writing a couple times, and yet I still have no followers. Nobody is even reading this I'm sure. I'm feeling as though this is pointless. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to quit blogging. I just thought that the appeal of writing to people who I didn't know, and ranting to people who didn't know me would be a whole lot more entertaining than it really is. Hopefully some day soon, this will be more than just an empty page with words. Maybe one day I'll make an impact on someones life through my blogging. For now, it's just the waiting game.

No worries the more people you add the more followers you get.

  2. People are reading! And it's true, the more bloggers you follow, the more that follow you back. The best advice that someone ever gave me was to comment on 10 different blogs a week. It puts your name out in the "blogosphere." You meet different people, get followers and blog ideas, and it's just fun! Blogging has a rough start; it may feel like you're talking to a wall, but over time it will pick up, and I'm sure you will enjoy it even more. GOod luck!

  3. I'm sure blogging is just one of those things that takes time. (: I've been blogging for about a week and half now, and I'm trying to be patient now and posting at least two or three blogs a day. (: I'm following you, now! (: I think your blog is interesting from what I've read of it! You'll get more followers, and I'm sure I will too. Good luck, hun!

  4. When I was blogging through another space, I had the same thought as you do. I felt relatively frustrated, but in order to have people to read yours, you do need some interaction back and forth! :)

the key is to be patient as well!
    Cheers! Enjoy the experience.

  7. Don't give up, you're just getting started, try moving your followers widget to the top of the page, so more people can see it :)

It takes time to gain followers and readers, but in time, they will come. :)

  8. Hay! Well, I am a new follower if that counts for anything. :) I know it's SO hard at first and the truth is it does take a while to get a high number of followers, but it's all good because it WILL happen if you are persistent and passionate, dedicated. Can I offer a few tips?

    - When new bloggers ask my advice on getting out there my first answer is always: Comment and interact with as many bloggers as you possibly can! If you can search blogs (find some that look interesting on other's follower's lists) and comment. Even just the slightest "hello." will make a huge difference! Most bloggers will follow back, comment back.

Second, a good blogger is only as loyal as you are to her. You comment regularly and read regularly, I do that same kind of thing.

And most importantly, I think the rudest thing a blogger can do is not at least thank a fellow blogger for their comments. I think it's distasteful! I ALWAYS reply to my comments by visiting the commenter's page and reading and leaving a nice thank you as well as my input. I usually follow as well.

ALWAYS be loyal to your followers and those you follow, but if you are following someone and you have commented repeatedly with no response at all and not even a simple thanks, feel free to cut them off. I do. It's so rude and it sends the message to other's that your time is far more important than the time they repeatedly take out of their day to comment nicely on your blog. (It does happen)

Anyways, I think your off to a very lovely start and I will love to keep up with your post and be a regular!

Just take your blog wherever IT leads YOU. But, incase you need a little inspiration, here are a few things that are most interesting to many readers, including myself:
1.Let your readers get to know you. I used to believe in keeping my personal details and life out of my blog, but I realized that I want to know my readers and am interested in their simple happenings in their daily lives. So I started sharing a bit about me and frequently giving updates on YOUR life is fun.

Also, I LOVE when people post photos of just random things in their lives like their pets. Those are always a huge hit! If you have a pet, take advantage of his/her cuteness! lol

Many people love to read about your funny little mishaps in life i.e. my horrifying waxing experience lol Add a bit of funny to it & you've got your readers hooked! Anything funny or crazy happen in your day? Tell!

Well, I just thought I'd give you a few tips and hopefully you're feeling better about this blogging thing already, but if not do know that I will be following & people who keep in touch with each other's blogs are usually quick to do favors and spread the word/plug your blog in their own! Be kind, comment and blog! :)

    Warm wishes,

  9. Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll be sure to try it All. I'd pretty much given up because I am trying to do this new thing, and I felt nobody was reading. So it felt pointless. Thank you guys for following. I'm on my phone right now, so when I get my computer back Thursday I'm definitely going to read your guys' blogs and follow. And Kel the Monster, I'm in Manitoba. How about you? :) actually where are you ALL from?

  10. Hey just read your blog keep posting and you'll get more people to read. I live in canada as well and I'm actually kind of doing the same type of blogging as you. So far right now I am sharing my past experiences trying to get everyone up to date for when I start talking about my experiences now. I live in BC Vancouver. I don't have many followers either but I'm writing because I hope one day people wont make the mistakes I made and learn from mine.
